Managing Director

About John

John has over 35 years industry experience and has been MD since 2009. He is active on the council of ATLAS (The Association of Technical Lightning and Access Specialists) and has served twice as ATLAS President. He also sits on the industry Lightning Protection Technical Committee and the recently formed Earthing Committee.

Operations Director

About Paul

Paul joined Cuttings in 2009 and has overseen the largest projects in the company’s history. He has introduced many new systems to improve efficiency, and has developed the company training plan. He is also past Chairman of our industry training body – the Steeplejack & Lightning Protection Training Group

Business Development Director

About Martin

Martin has been with Cuttings since 2002. He became a Director in 2013 and continues to grow sales and build relationships, whilst always remaining involved with customers at an early design stage.

Divisional Director (South)

About Paul

Paul took over as Divisional Director in March 2022, having been with the business originally since 2008. He was head of the Testing Division and has also had a senior management position with a nationwide retailer. 

Divisional Director (East)

About Adam

Adam has over 30 years’ experience in the Lightning Protection industry, having started as an engineer at the age of 16 through to various Manager levels and Directorships. Now as a Director overseeing our Cuttings East Division with experienced managers and Engineers.

Maintenance Director

About Kevin

Kevin oversees our growing Maintenance Division which has seen a 400% growth since his start with us in 2016. The department now has dedicated and experienced managers in place for Testing (Billy Limby) and Repairs (Graham Blackwell) each with their own teams of NVQ3 qualified engineers.

Divisional Director (West)

About Sam

Sam has Lightning Protection and Steeplejacking running through his veins.
He now heads up our Cuttings West division in the Bristol area, and has many loyal clients.
He is also an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician which gets him into and out of some tricky access problems
